Stand your ground law
In 2005 Florida Legislators passed the "stand your ground law". The stand your ground law states that a person may use force in self-defense when there is reasonable and or the person is being threatened. This law is an extension of what is called the "castle doctrine" which gives the right to one to defend themselves. Nothing is more valuable than human life. Citizens must be able to protect themselves without fear that self-defense will legally be a problem. It is a tragedy that at anytime a young life is cut short, mainly because of gun violence. These crimes are no exception, sadly we live in difficult and violent days.
